Oh dear, a bonding scene. This is the part where we learn about Beckett and Val to get a connection before they end up getting killed tomorrow, isn’t it? That’d be a bit cliché, but with a good delivery, it could work pretty well.

I wonder why Chi’ra needs to get rich. Usually getting rich is a want unless there’s some problem hanging over one’s head that the money would solve. Possibly there as a way to buy out the Imperial enlistment after the desertion? If Lady Proxima shows up again, she likely won’t only want money, but revenge as well. Same goes for original Qi’ra.

And I’m pretty sure Chewie said nothing about letting Chi’ra screw up, only that it would be loathsome to let happen. Super-thesaurus-speak makes it difficult to tell however. Poor Chewbacca doesn’t know what disasters await him in the future by hanging out with Chi’ra.
