Reunions are joyous and emotional times. If you want a reunion in a game, you need to somehow separate the characters. You can do this in a couple of different ways:
Separate the PCs from some significant NPCs. First you need to make the players care about the NPCs. Have them interact several times until they become friendly and take it almost for granted that these helpful NPCs will be around. Then have them taken away. Maybe kidnapped, taken prisoner, or maybe just gone missing mysteriously. It doesn't need to be the main focus of the subsequent adventure, but at some point the heroes should get a clue to the whereabouts of the missing NPC. It may take some work, but this could lead to a happy reunion.
Or you can separate the PCs from one another. Split the party against their will. This is much tougher, both to run and to get player buy-in. Few have succeeded, but if your group is up for it it can definitely lead to a memorable reunion once the problems are resolved.

There we go. No surprise here in the outcome. The scene is probably pretty neat looking with all of the boulders starting to float up and away. It's fortunate as well that they can all be lifted at the same time; having to move all 50+ rocks one by one would take a long time.
This doesn't seem like the time for reunion hugs. Were the writers trying to set up a romance thing between Finn and Rey? They really need to work on showing more things if so, and probably drop the parts with Finn and Rose. Plus, Kylo's gonna be on his way storming into the base by this point, and there's still a bunch of people that need to get out of the cave. And I just remembered that the Resistance is going to be moving even slower with injured people like Rose that need carrying in order to move. I really doubt that Rose is going to be left behind after we got to see Finn pulling her back into the base after all.

GM: Rey levitates the rocks, clearing a path out of the bunker tunnel.
{rocks move out of the way}
Rey: The ability to block a tunnel, or even a whole system of them, is insignificant next to my power to optimally assign skill points.
Kaydel Ko Connix: Oh, Lourd. As if Rey’s ego isn’t big enough.
C-3PO: Yay! We live to be doomed another day!
Finn: Rey!
{Finn runs out to embrace Rey}
Rey: Finn! What’s been happening?
Finn: A woman kissed me!
Rey: I was wondering more about cool loot.
Finn: And I’m not sure how I feel about Poe.
Rey: Emotional baggage doesn’t count.
