Jim: It was a rathtar! An enormous monster of shadow and lightning, 7.5 kilometres long. With hundreds of eyes and electric tentacles.
Chewbacca: A rathtar? Like the ones we fought on that freighter with the Guavian Death Gang?
GM: One and the same.
GM: Literally one and the same. There is only one Rathtar.
Beckett: What?
GM: I developed the idea for our current adventure after Jim showed me Han’s backstory. I’ve embellished this encounter a little and prepared a few lines to insert, if that’s okay.
Jim: Sure!
GM: Here are your scripts for this scene. And Sally, you’re the Rathtar.
Rathtar: Neat!
[SFX]: krackle krackle
Rathtar: You can’t escape me this time! You evaded my clutches on Tatooine, where legend called me Sarlacc. But now all I need do is grasp you and we shall perish together!
GM: It’s a unique 4-dimensional monstrosity, moving backwards through time. You only ever see 3-dimensional cross-sections poking into normal reality.
Jim: Really?
GM: Some creative space biology to mesh with the overall story.
Jim: Cool! Just don’t touch the geophysics.
GM: I wouldn’t dream of it.
