Commentary by memnarch (who has not seen the movie)
Well okay then. I guess we’re off-planet now and time-skipped to boot. And we’ve somehow got a scene out of a WWI or WWII? Who’s around to fight at the moment anyway? Has the Rebellion gotten started already? It’s hard to tell how long ago this takes place in relation to the main movies.
I’m gonna guess we’ll spend maybe 20-30 comics. Maybe the movie Solo is just a series of highlights from Han Solo’s life. I could see that being interesting enough to make a movie about as a side thing. I don’t remember if there are any other feature Star Wars movies between this and The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. If there aren’t any, this might be the reason for that; life highlights as a fiction concept sounds like it flows better as an episodic style delivery.

Staz: Your Empire needs you! Troopers forward! Chi’ra, get up! We're almost there!
Chi’ra: Almost where? Where are we going?
[SFX]: Boom! Pow!
Staz: Just over that last ridge. Victory is—
[SFX]: Kaboom!
Jim: Staz was annihilated by a missile explosion!
Ben: I thought you said Staz had a major role.
Jim: Yeah, he was a Major.
