If the party splits up, the traditional approach is to deal with one sub-party for a while, then switch to the other one. Where "a while" is something reasonable like a few minutes.
But you can speed things up to increase the level of urgency and panic. Tell one group that something dangerous is happening, and before they can respond jump straight to the other half of the party and tell them something dangerous is happening to them too! Keep flipping back and forth every few seconds! Chaos! Uncertainty! Fun and hilarity for all!

Someone's cutting through? I guess there's more than just the three officers, then, as they'd not be ones to pick up a hull cutter! Connix seems to have disappeared, or at least moved from the door, so she's safe for now. 3PO probably should have taken that as a cue to move as well, though as a droid mascot, he'll be perfectly fine anyway.
The action here seems to be picking up pretty quickly on both sides of the plot, and I am liking this quite a bit. The mutiny is odd, but there's personal fighting happening now among the personnel! And Team Casino is out of the casino and trying to reverse heist the main ship with security juuuuust coming into view. Barring any really stupid-looking decisions that haven't been shown yet (like the bombers scene), I think this is the most interesting part of the movie so far. And yes, that's still with Jim's involvement in both parts of the plot here and his GM discussion likely not occurring just yet.

GM: Events seem to move more slowly as the hyperdrive begins to warm up.
Finn: DJ, how’s it going?
DJ: Tempus edax rerum! It might take long enough that Poe’s plan will come to glorious fruition.
C-3PO: This is madness! I’m out of here!
Poe: 3PO! Where are you going? Don’t you want to be a hero?
C-3PO: Droids have free will and I don’t want to sacrifice myself. You can’t make me!
GM: The bridge door that 3PO is approaching sparks as someone begins cutting through.
[SFX]: Pow!
[SFX]: kzzzhh... kzzzt!
C-3PO: I don’t want to be shot as a mutineer either!
[SFX]: clop clop {a trooper patrol marching as Finn watches}
GM: On the Supremacy, a trooper patrol turns the corner and approaches the computer room.
[SFX]: clop clop
Finn: I thought you said events were going more slowly!
Poe: Maybe it affects neural processing and our brains are going even more slowly!
Rey: No comment.
