Working your way up from humble beginnings is a classic story path for heroic types. Plenty of adventurers have started their careers as farm hands, fruit pickers, woodcutters, blacksmith's apprentices, and so on. Even gardeners.
Of course it's tough to go on adventures when you have no experience and the hardest thing you've ever done before is wrangle some goats into a pen.
But that's what makes it so fun!

Ooo! More Pete campaign information! So there's at least a captain of the guard, a scribe, a priest, and a loan banker in the story. And all but the priest need to be in a big planning session, which still won't preclude the priest from being there as well.
Ahhh, material safety data sheets (MSDS). Now known as just Safety Data Sheets, they're mainly used for providing safety and first aid information about stuff you might encounter working for an industrial company. If that's what Pete is limited by, he's probably done making super dice as you can find MSDS forms for just about anything if you really try. Though Pete could probably argue that there are substances that don't need MSDS forms, or that MSDS is outdated and doesn't apply anymore. So maybe we'll get lucky and see one more super die before the end of this trilogy.

BB-8: ... was so tough.
Rey: Given how you approached it, I had to make it difficult.
Rey: There’s a yin for every yang. If there’s bad, good will rise up against it!
DJ: That was my job as the dashing, heroic captain of the guard!
GM: Playing a lowly scribe made it a real challenge, though.
Rey: That was part of it. Working your way up from subordinate positions to influential ones.
Rose: Helping the priest was a quicker path to riches. You can’t blame us.
BB-8: Especially given I was a loan banker.
Finn: I did try to warn them that I distrusted that priest.
[SFX]: door!
Kylo Ren: Hi, sorry I’m late. Whatcha talking about?
Rey: They’re just having trouble accepting my genius vision.
Kylo Ren: Hey, we banned dice that need material safety data sheets for a reason.
