"Word gets around."
You can have a lot of fun with that concept in a game world. The players are playing a bunch of heroes (or pseudo-heroes) who are going around having adventures and doing significant things, right? Fighting evil, exploring lost dungeons and returning with ancient treasures, that sort of thing. Of course word is going to get around.
When the party enters a new town, the guard at the gate can say, "Hey, aren't you the ones who fought the Red Wyrm of Dalestown? Wow, that must have been epic. Tell me about it!"
When they head for an inn, kids will follow them and whisper about their exploits. Some might be bold enough to come up and ask the heroes to "do some magic" or make their mark on a scrap of paper for them.
When they enter the inn, people will turn and stare, and hushed whispers will go around. "That's the Grey Wolf Guild!"
You better hope your reputation is positive.

Well that's interesting. The hologram can pick up on a lot more than just the person on the other side. That means it's probably something more than just a stationary platform looking at Kanata. And I suppose the shoot-out Kanata is having is interesting too. That's more likely just something like the evening bar fight though, so it's not quite as neat.
Another possibility for Kanata showing up in person, besides an end-of-movie scene? A rescue mission of some kind! It could be that we'll have the group head off to this "casino" and really it's just the location Kanata's getting holed up in at this moment. In the movie, it'd make more sense if this was a direct call for help of some kind, even if we still haven't resolved the whole "chasing fleet" problem yet. At the moment however, I'm wondering if that's just a plot point the movie dropped and never picked up again in order to do some other things.

Darth Kanata: Word gets around. Or was it your “twin brother” who pretended to be Administrator Snoke in front of his own fleet?
Allan: No, that was me.
