Conversations are much more interesting when one of the participants is wielding something dangerous.
Some encounters in games can be dealt with as social encounters, meaning that you don't end up in a fight. The goal is to talk or negotiate with the other party to see if you can reach some sort of agreement. But just because you're only talking doesn't mean that you can't also have fun waving around a weapon at the same time!

Oh dear. Rose..... doesn't seem all there at the moment. Or maybe this is Rose just pretending she doesn't have all her marbles. It's incredibly amusing that this is straight man Ben playing Rose however. I bet he's loving hamming it up as a way to pull one over on Pete having played Paige.
I also bet this is a pretty movie tense moment, or is at least intended as one. One of the main characters getting interrogated, even if it's mostly a face-to-face conversation? That's gotta have some quiet menacing music to it or something.
If Finn actually does get zapped, that's going to be something I expect to see in Episode IX as well. Once from BB-8 in Episode VII? Could be a serious thing, could be a joke thing; it depends on the dialogue. Again here? That might be the start of a small running gag or series theme, like all the limb amputations in the first six Star Wars Episodes or in most of the MCU movies.

Finn: Listen... um...
Rose: Rose.
Finn: Listen, Rose. I just got lost. I want to find General Organa and make sure she’s okay.
[SFX]: zzzt... zzzt...
Rose: Caring for patients. Wholesome and altruistic.
Finn: Right. So you can go back to your duties, and I’ll go ask someone for directions.
Rose: Wanna take my shock prod to care for the General? {waves the prod near Finn’s face again}
[SFX]: zzzt... zzzt...
Finn: Uh... Can you turn it off first?
Rose: Where’s the fun in that?
