Bodies are inconvenient. They get in the way, they start to decay, and they're actually really heavy and clumsy to carry around. Best get rid of them quickly. Burn them or dump them into some convenient pit.
Keeping bodies around tends to either get grisly or veer into comedy. So, weirdly enough, if you're going for either the gory horror or slapstick comedy ends of the genre spectrum, bodies are great!

Aaaaaaaand basically everyone except Jim was concerned about the character's death. Figures; Jim will never not be surprising. Maybe he thinks this is a good way to get a best death that has no chance of being spoiled later.
Hondo's daughter must have got fed up with waiting for Umberto to be returned. Or maybe this Crimson Dawn group decided to get rid of Han after seeing how much trouble tracing him down turned out to be. "Sends their regards" would be an obvious threat, but those don't usually come with prior warnings from the same person. I'm half thinking this group will end up being shown in a later movie now.
Saying there was a warning hardly seems like an awesome set of last words. It'd be so like Jim to continue trying to come up with a better line as the GM describes the body disappearing into the depths of this purposeless pit. Or for other people to start throwing phrases out and Jim simply picks one of those.
