Episode 2037: Back Seat Dry Verse

Any high drama moment can be made more dramatic by someone reciting poetry as events unfold. Or at least more melodramatic. Which is often a worthy goal in itself.

So that's a hit on the Peace Moon firing, a miss on the testing, and a miss on the target. I'd completely forgotten that the Resistance was supported by the New Republic, which would make for an even better "we're in charge now" demonstration. To be fair though, this was info stuck in the scrolling text at the start of the Episode. I suspect that it's some sort of hyperspace death ray, as there probably wouldn't be a grandiose military parade if the Peace Moon was in a hostile system and under attack from defenders.

Interesting that the capital of the New Republic isn't Coruscant. As the capital of the Old Republic, it seemed like the best place to set the government back up at after the Empire fell. I think it even got a quick clip at the end of the extended edition movie during the celebrations. Maybe the food shipments got to be a little too much to keep the place working once the Empire fell and then it was too much to repair and rebuild after the First Order showed up.

And Phasma's shown up again. And keeping Ben from upstaging the other villains as well. I don't recognize the referenced poem here; it's probably another really old one though. The GM really likes playing up this referential trait. For some reason though, I'm getting a "Boba Fett vibe" from the character; very neat standout design, but doesn't show up often and rarely speaks. I wonder how long they'll be sticking around.

Not sure I like the First Order logo, assuming that's what's on General Hux's hat. Sure, it's probably quite grand looking on the giant red banner, but it's way too busy compared to the Rebellion or Empire logos. It's not that memorable, even if it's easy to memorize. I think this is the first graphical thing that's made me think "Really? That's what they went with?"
