Never give your weapon to someone else to mind for you. Especially if it's a check-in for a place where you're not allowed to take weapons. If you're not allowed weapons, what makes you think you won't need them?

Okay. Yeah. Something's definitely up here, both in-game and in-movie. Why would Finn be pulling out this large blaster while at the table? Sure, this place is probably one where you'd want to have a blaster on you, but why pull it out unless you want to cause trouble? On the other hand, when your ally is saying WHEN a fight breaks out and not IF, it's probably a good idea to stay on your toes.
Sounds like Kanata literally lives in the bar if he's sending Rey to the location of a laser sword. Or maybe it's not actually his, and he just hangs out here enough to know the entire contents of the lost-and-found. I will be shocked if Rey doesn't end up with a lightsaber from this scene though, and extremely shocked if she doesn't get one by the end of the movie. Maybe there's technically a laser sword where Kanata says there is, but it's also broken so someone needs to fix it before it can be used or something like that.

Finn: All right, I’ll go get some drinks.
Darth Kanata: Don’t forget my death sticks!
Rey: We’re really doing this?
BB-8: I would have laid odds on it.
Finn: Can you mind my blaster for me?
Yanni: Take it, you might need it.
Finn: To get drinks?
Yanni: Do you want to be the one buying drinks when a fight breaks out and you wish you had a blaster?
Rey: Ooo-kay. C’mon BB-8, maybe we should get that laser sword.
Darth Kanata: The stairs are back there. Third door on the left. It’s in a small chest.
Rey: Is the door bar-room-brawl-proof?
