In our first intermission strip, we have another explanation for how Kyle Katarn (a.k.a. Saw Gerrera in the film) ended up with one hand and no legs.
[Reminder: Our guest commentators have not seen Rogue One. Part of the fun is seeing how their untainted impressions re-interpret the movie through the lens of our comic.]
The idea of a right-hand man can mean, "the person that you depend on", or it can mean the man whose right hand you use.
In this case, it goes even further. Kyle only has his right hand.
As much as Yoda has said that lightsabers are safe, this really seems to indicate they are not.
Still, I have to wonder: should Kyle have been speaking with a French accent?

Kyle: I'm Kyle Katarn, Jabba's right-hand man.
Kyle: I only have my right hand.
Bria: No left hand?
Kyle: And no legs. To make sure.
Bria: You lost your legs?
Kyle: I cut them off with a laser sword.
Bria: Why did you cut your legs off?
Kyle: The first was an accident. The second was to prove a point.
Bria: But only one hand?
Kyle: Once I cut that off, I couldn't cut the other one off.
