If you have a good idea, doing it with twice as much potentially dangerous equipment can only be a great idea.

"Underwater oxygen extraction apparatus".
"A necklace with a mysterious crystal on it".
The underwater oxygen extraction apparatus seems to be being passed on from character to character. I'm wondering if that other necklace is the Japor snippet. But tossing the rope as a grappling hook - is that a direct call out to Episode IV?
At least the GM gives her a way to just climb up an emergency ladder.
On the surface, it looks like Jim is just obsessed with using that rope. But really, ensuring no one can follow you like that is actually pretty smart.
The necklace though seems like something that needs a closer look at some point. Anything with the word "mysterious" has to be important, and is most likely powerful.
It's also bound to be really valuable. Bets on whether Jim will sell/trade the crystal before finding out what it is can start now.
Bria: I race towards the Imperial facility.
GM: It's built halfway up the side of a cliff.
Bria: I go to the base of the cliff. Let me see what equipment I have...
Bria: "A blaster, 50 feet of rope, a concealed blaster, a necklace with a mysterious crystal on it, underwater breathing apparatus".
Bria: Right, I use the rope to climb up.
Chirrut: How do you fasten the rope from the bottom?
Bria: I'll tie a blaster on the rope and throw it like a grappling hook.
Chirrut: What could possibly go wrong?
Bria: Ooh, no! Both blasters!
GM: <sigh> You also notice a lift track with an emergency ladder.
Bria: Awesome! I climb the ladder and tie the rope on.
Bria: And then pull it up so nobody can follow me.
