Where "free" means any of:

• Lying around unattended and obviously a piece of lost equipment.
• Lying around unattended and possibly a piece of lost equipment.
• Lying around unattended, in an enemy armoury.
• Lying around unattended, in any armoury.
• Lying around unattended, in a blacksmith's place or weapon shop.
• Lying around while the owner is looking the other way.
• Being held loosely by someone.
• Being held firmly by someone.
• Being wielded actively against you.
