Episode 675: Hit and Miss

Crossfire is a great thing. Always make sure if a firefight breaks out, your players' characters are caught somewhere in the middle of two opposing sides who are shooting at each other.

The cool thing is that if you roll a miss on the dice for one of the opposing factions, you can simply assume it hits a PC!

GM: <roll> <roll> <roll> None of the clones hit as you retreat.
R2-D2: We need to circle around and get through the airlock onto their ship.
[SFX]: Pow! Pow!
C-3PO: We'll never make it through this crossfire!
[SFX]: Pow! Pow!
Clone Trooper: Don't hit the droids! They're civilians!
[SFX]: Pow! Pow!
{the droids walk across the crossfire without getting hit}
R2-D2: You were saying?
Captain Antilles: We're totally winning this fight. These clones can't shoot for peanuts.
[SFX]: Pow!
GM: Suddenly, a chill comes over the battlefield. The clones stop firing and freeze for a second.
GM: Then they level their guns steadily and open fire as one.
[SFX]: Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow!
[SFX]: Pow!
Rebel Soldier 1: Aaargh!
[SFX]: Pow!
Rebel Soldier 2: Aaargh!
[SFX]: Pow! Pow!
Rebel Soldier 3: Aaargh!
Captain Antilles: {running} Third ambush point! Third ambush point, guys!
[SFX]: Pow!
Captain Antilles: Guys?
