In a play group, each player will bring their own particular skills and talents to the table. For some, this will be the ability to plan ahead.
A good action plan helps prepare your party for various contingencies and difficulties and can make a big difference to the success of any missions of adventures.
Other sorts of plans can be entertaining in other ways...

AnaZone? What a horrible name. If that's actually something in the movie, that's probably yet another thing people didn't like. It feels more likely to be something comic-related for Anakin, however, since it comes with a prebaked pun. The GM should have let Sally come up with a better name, unless the whole point is for that moment of realization by the players.
So. Since this is a Jim plan, where's the part where everything goes off the rails? If it's not the part about infiltrating the operation, I'll bet it's the supply chain manipulation step. The current amount of space-time juice was heisted, yes. But the equipment that made it in the first place? The comet didn't explode, so it'd be simple enough for the First Order or AnaZone to take the equipment and make their own space-time juice to counteract whatever the Resistance does.
The weirdest part of Jim's plan though? It's entirely possible that there's something related to shopping and warehouses coming up. Last Episode we had a whole casino planet for crying out loud!

GM: That evening, Aftab Ackbar reports news.
Aftab Ackbar: Palpatine has followed up his mystery broadcast with new ads for an online shopping empire to rival the First Order. He calls it AnaZone.
Poe: All right, here’s the plan!
Rey: General Organa is still in charge.
Leia: I’d like to hear his plan.
Poe: We infiltrate Palpatine’s operation by posing as elite sales reps.
Rose: Sales?
Poe: Yeah, we get inside, sell his weird cultist luxury junk, drive up the brand value.
Rose: How does that help us?
Poe: Because then, we use the liquified space-time to manipulate the supply chain. We make his most popular products only exist in the past! Artificial scarcity!
Poe: Prices skyrocket, we sell high, then we collapse the market. We use the liquidity implosion to create a singularity inside AnaZone’s HQ, sucking all his assets into the void.
Leia: ... And then what?
Poe: Then: we blow it up.
BB-8: You could have started with that.
Poe: But this way, I get rich first!
Leia: Yep. I enjoyed hearing that.
