A flaming X-wing, but still able to fly; that must have looked really cool in the movie for the moments that that lasted. And only two TIE PIE fighters? I'm rather surprised that the First Order didn't send more. So there's the Star Destroyer Hux is on plus two, maybe three others, and the Fulminatrix, whatever its ship type is called? Maybe there just hasn't been comic space to show a scene-setting shot, but this doesn't seem like much of an invasion fleet to bother running away from. Maybe both sides are essentially running out of resources to build ships with? That doesn't feel right for Star Wars, but that's about all I can think of that'd explain things here.

And I think the only thing I could possibly quibble with Annie about that whole series of directions is that braking in space isn't a thing as we'd think of it, at least at the altitude this fight looks to be taking place in. Simply cutting the big extra engine off would be the only thing I think of that would work here along with reducing the output from one side. X-wings don't seem to really be able to spin around on a single point while still moving straight in the starting direction normally; their dog-fights would look really silly if they could do that with any regularity.
