Never be afraid to add something to your adventures on the fly, if the players ask if something is present. Especially if that thing is bad for them!

Oh neat; they managed to fit in a callback to the trench run! I am a bit confused why the fighters didn't start with that area as their initial attack, but perhaps the plan was to hit the visible base first as a distraction for the rescue team. I do think the lighting here makes this instance look a heck of a lot cooler than Episode IV or VI. This is a great example of how to update the visuals of something 30 years old. At least, that's how it seems right now; too many flashing or shifting lights could be overwhelming in the movie.
And Jim is suicidally over-confident as always. I wonder if Corey will figure out how to manage playing a character that's closely connected to Allan (who I keep thinking is named Poe), like how Ben had to figure out Chewbacca for Han Solo. I'm also hoping BB-8 can make it through without copying R2-D2's fate in the first trench run, but at least he'll turn out alright if he does.
