If you know you're having a vision and you can't die, you may as well try any random stuff to see what happens.

If you know you're having a vision and are not sure if you can die or not, well, maybe treat things just a little more carefully.

Huh. For some reason, I've got the idea that Rey is meant to be panicking here, but none of the facial expressions line up with that idea. Maybe it's because I would be freaked out here if I was in Rey's position that I'm thinking that. Now I wonder how much warning movie-Rey had about it being a bad idea to touch the lightsaber. She definitely didn't just happen to wander on down here without a purpose, but still seemed hesitant. Maybe having this specific lightsaber is why Kanata had the mental fog! It seems more like a comic plot point, but now I can't think of anything that would be contradicted by the panels we've seen, especially the dramatic zoom on Kanata's face.

In-comic, I'm also wondering if this is something Sally's set up with the GM. Except for the short monologue scene with Kylo and playing Kanata, she's been both not participating with the rest of players in-game and has been fairly quiet. Plus, this is giving me huge vibes of the Darth Vader vision that Luke had. Granted, it's not an exact match-up as I don't think there actually was a mental link in the movie, and the comic had Luke be the one "calling" Vader, but still. Annie made lots of extra notes and text messages for the GM to use; no reason Sally can't do the same.

Transcript

GM: You’re in a dark, snowy forest.
Rey: Bring it on, vision! I run in a random direction!
GM: The killer from the rain cuts you off, looming from behind a tree, red sword lit.
[SFX]: whmmmm...
GM: One of the voices you heard earlier, a rasping whisper, echoes in your head:
[SFX]: whmmmm...
Voice: ... or these will be your last steps.
GM: You fall backwards and land on the stone floor, outside the room with the chest in it.
Rey: Whoa.
Rey: For all the weapons that really should have recoil, I never expected it from a laser sword.
