If PCs need to do anything involving connecting cables or inserting hardware into a slot in a hurry, remember to have them make Intelligence and Dexterity rolls to do it successfully first try. With Difficulty Class at least 20.
If they fail either roll, they insert the cable upside down on their first try. If they fail both, they insert it doubly upside down and have to turn it over twice before it will work.
[Reminder: Our guest commentators have not seen Rogue One. Part of the fun is seeing how their untainted impressions re-interpret the movie through the lens of our comic.]
Never underestimate the power of sneakernet!
A discussion from many, many years ago: what is the bandwidth of a Chevrolet cruising down the freeway with its back full of tapes? Answer: a lot more than the phone lines of the day.
Including the time it takes to load the tapes at the destination.
Now, we have a psych-boosted start, drifting around a turn, sprinting down a straightaway, slipstreaming behind someone in front of you, pushing for an additional 10 endurance used, and getting some moral support at the end for an additional final boost.
That really is the fastest possible way in a role-playing game.

Admiral Raddus: I'm sending you a copy of the Peace Moon plans via the fastest known data transfer method.
