If one of the PCs in a game has a lifelong goal, a thing they want to achieve, something difficult but which drives them in their quest for adventure - try having the bad guy do that exact thing, while they watch from the sidelines, unable to do anything.
Maybe not too often though. That might be classified as cruel and unusual punishment.
[Reminder: Our guest commentators have not seen Rogue One. Part of the fun is seeing how their untainted impressions re-interpret the movie through the lens of our comic.]
Wow, the Rebels sure got there fast.
I'm not so sure how necessary the element of surprise really is here, considering the size of the Rebel cavalry. It's hard to tell exactly but it looks like they have at least 10 ships? That should be enough to just carpet bomb the place while Cassian et al make their escape, with K-2 laying down some good "cover fire".

- Gloating and killing: check.
- "Hero" yelling "nooooooo": check.
- Airstrike: check.
- Stealth mission turned into a combat mission: check.
Everything is according to the plan/script. All we need now is "just leave us, we'll find another way off" and we'll have a full bingo.
