When one player finally gets what their character is supposed to be doing - was supposed to be doing for the whole adventure - and starts doing it, rather than ignoring all the hints and generally messing up your carefully planned adventure, you can bet it's going to be too late.
Such is the life of a GM.

Padmé: That was him leaving? Lucky I spared his ship.
Anakin: Padmé! Thank goodness you're safe!
Anakin: What happened to the clone trooper I sent to help you?
Padmé: Oh, he died a while back. I guess I should have offered him some water.
Obi-Wan: How did you manage to survive out there?
Padmé: It was tough. I had some weird hallucinations. About a sick kid.
Padmé: He gets upset and demands his own way... but learns humility and it all works out in the end. Or something.
Anakin: Is that some sort of subtle message?
Padmé: Some what?
