There's a school of thought amongst some GMs that if you surround railroad tracks with enough atmospheric, pre-written, descriptive steam, they cease looking like railroad tracks any more.
You should start to wonder when the GM has a handy pre-prepared long descriptive speech for the pit trap you just fell in.

Pete: Right. Outside the ship is a path leading to a solid metal doorway.
Anakin: We should explore the surroundings before we go charging in.
Pete: You landed on a steam vent. On both sides of the path and all around you are impenetrable clouds of searing steam. The door is the only way forward.
Padmé: Why did we land on a steam vent?
Pete: Your trusty astromech droid determined that it was the only viable landing spot.
Padmé: Great. We go through the door.
Pete: It slides open with a pneumatic hiss.

Anakin: I have a really bad feeling about this.
Pete: Sally, what do you want C-3PO to do?
C-3PO: Artoo and I should follow them! In case they get into trouble!
Pete: Excellent choice.
C-3PO: Yay!
