Speaking of blockbusters, this comic is being published on the 10th anniversary of the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Yes, it's been ten years since the first of the prequel trilogy hit the screens. Wow.

Although derided by many as a bad thing, we have to celebrate The Phantom Menace. Because without it, we wouldn't be here right now, and you wouldn't be here reading this comic.

This particular strip, by the way, makes use of another of the deleted scenes in Attack of the Clones. It's just a short scene where Mace Windu and Obi-Wan exchange some discussion before Obi-Wan flies out to Kamino. The special effects obviously haven't been completed as they would have been if this scene was used in the film, as you can see if you watch this scene on the DVD. But it's good enough for us.

Mace Windu: What? Eaten by dogs? Are you sure?
Obi-Wan: This information was very difficult to track down. Clearly someone has gone to great lengths to conceal it. So there must be something worth investigating.
Mace Windu: Yes, I guess you're right.
Obi-Wan: I know I've been pursuing this despite being suspended, but there's obviously something sinister going on.
Mace Windu: Is there ever! Last night my apartment was blown up.
Obi-Wan: Wow! That's pretty serious.
Mace Windu: Turns out I was supposed to have moved into new quarters eight months ago, when they condemned the block.
Obi-Wan: Oh. I see.
Mace Windu: Well, solve this case and I'll put in a good word for your reinstatement.
Obi-Wan: Thank you, Master Windu.
Mace Windu: By the way, did you remember to put out a description of that shapeshifter's kid?
