Anyone who has ever had their character try on some newly discovered armour and had a fellow party member attack them, just to find out if the armour is magical (and thus makes the attack roll harder or defence roll easier), put your hand up.
In some gaming groups this is a standard technique. I know we used it at one stage early in our gaming careers.

Padmé: Hey, can you try to punch me?
Anakin: What? What for?
Padmé: I'm trying on all my different outfits. You attack me, and I can see which ones give the best Defence Bonus.
Anakin: That... could be dangerous. I'm a highly trained Jedi.
R2-D2: Sounds like a good plan to me. Can I help?
Padmé: You don't have any striking strength.
R2-D2: I could tip this boiling hot soup over you.
Anakin: We don't want to cause a scene. We're supposed to be undercover.
Padmé: Hmmm, true. Well, you have Cheddar senses. Do they tell you anything at all about what I'm wearing?
Anakin: No, it doesn't make you look fat.
