Episode 196: You're Always a Day Away

It's all well and good winning an argument against the GM. But never forget that the GM runs the universe.

Jar Jar: Doesn't yousa get to roll again?
Obi-Wan: Jar Jar's right! Your Fate Manipulation ability lets you reroll!
GM: That's right.
Qui-Gon: No. Only once per game day. I've used it already.
GM: What? When?
Qui-Gon: When I set up my brilliant plan to win the pod race.
GM: That was days ago! You can use it again now.
Obi-Wan: Hmmm. How is a "day" defined? We've been on three planets since then, presumably with different rotational periods, and in space half the time.
Qui-Gon: Plus, you never said we went to sleep.
GM: More than 24 hours have passed...
Obi-Wan: 24 hours? There's no Earth. What's an hour?
GM: Okay, fine! It's still technically the same day! You can't use the reroll! You DIE!
Qui-Gon: Aha! So I'm right then.
R2-D2: Well argued.
Qui-Gon: Hang on.
