As the tools of the trade of roleplaying, dice assume a mystical, hallowed position in the minds of all true gamers, somewhat similar to the symbolism of the square and compasses of the Freemasons. If ever gamers formed a secretive globe-spanning society bent on infiltrating the halls of power and subtly influencing the course of world events*, you just know what their symbol would be.
* Fortunately for everyone else, gamers could never be this organised.

GM: The droid working on the other side of you gets hit and blown into space.

GM: What?
R2-D2: Custom dice.
GM: Are they really labelled in binary? Let me see.
R2-D2: Of course. I got this set especially for playing robot characters.
GM: Are they chrome??
R2-D2: Titanium.
