Real life experience can be very useful for players trying to establish the feasibility of something that will be useful within the game. If you want to argue that anyone with half-decent coordination can use karate while riding a skateboard, simply state your skill at some appropriate Nintendo Wii game.
Here Sally is presumably using experience of a slightly different type, probably involving swallowing small pieces of some toy or other.

GM: Obi-Wan, your character sheets say Qui-Gon is thirty-five years older than you. In the Jedi culture, that means he is your master.
GM: You don't have all of his abilities.
Qui-Gon: Cool! I only made him that old for an extra point in Wisdom and Intelligence.
Obi-Wan: So, "Master". Perhaps you could see your way to Force Suggesting that this monster goes elsewhere?
Qui-Gon: Oh, right.
Qui-Gon: "Begone, foul beast!" I roll a 5.
GM: It shrugs, briefly, then goes back to eating your bongo.
Obi-Wan: So... we're going to be swallowed and there's nothing we can do?
Jar Jar: It'sa okays, the bongos don'tsa get hurt.
Obi-Wan: But—
Jar Jar: Wesa just gots to wait a while.
{pause, showing Obi-Wan realising what Jar Jar means}
GM: Suddenly a bigger fish grabs it in its jaws and the smaller one lets go!
Obi-Wan: Now you're just toying with us...
Qui-Gon: Do we need to be here for this?
