Player Characters
Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Ben. Obi-Wan is a Jedi Master. Ben is a thoughtful roleplayer who tries to think through the best course of action within his character concept and the setting. He enjoys coming up with clever ways to justify the success of his plans within the premises of the setting. |
R2-D2 played by Pete. R2-D2 is a droid mechanic, in the service of Anakin. Pete enjoys the game for the chance to do insanely dangerous things and to argue his way out of trouble using logic and the finer points of the game rules. Pete designed a character to maximise all the skills he thought would come in most useful in a space game, at the cost of being a short, squat robot with no arms. |
Anakin played by Annie. Anakin is a Jedi Knight, formerly apprenticed to Obi-Wan. Annie was originally a friend of Ben's from drama class, who joined the game and became interested in its free-form approach to playing characters. She is dedicated to playing her character as a real, complex person with motivations inspired by a well-considered backstory. |
C-3PO played by Sally. C-3PO is a protocol droid built by Anakin many years ago and now serving as Padmé's assistant. Sally is Ben's younger sister. Ben took her along to the game one evening four years ago when his parents couldn't get a babysitter for the night. The GM quickly generated an alien character for her to play so she wouldn't get bored. She has now grown up a bit, and switched characters several times. |
Senator Padmé Amidala played by Jim. Senator Amidala is the human Senator for Naboo in the Galactic Republic. Jim is a rather gung-ho roleplayer, interested in action, cool fight scenes, and lucrative spoils over careful consideration or puzzle solving. He frequently acts before he thinks, which includes fixating on his own strange explanations for setting details that the GM hasn't explained yet. |
Yoda played by Sally. Yoda is a Jedi Master and one of the members of the Jedi Council. Sally manages to flip between Yoda and C-3PO despite the GM telling her to stick to one character. |
Non-Player Characters
Homing Missiles. The homing missiles are fired at Anakin and Obi-Wan during a space combat. They are free-wheeling guys who want to sit back, enjoy ripping some rad moves, blow up fast-moving fighters, and otherwise generally enjoy the good life. |
Buzz Droids. The Buzz Droids are spaceship-cleaning vagrants who stake out turf in orbital space and wait for ships to come along. Then they latch on board and offer their reasonably priced cleaning services. Whether you want them or not. |
R4-P17. R4-P17 is an astromech droid in the service of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He goes to pieces and loses his head a bit in the space battle. |
TZ-4. TZ-4 is a lift operator droid aboard the Invisible Hand. He considers operating a lift to be an important and dignified position on board a spaceship, though carries a gun to avoid incidents with any passengers who think otherwise. |
Count Dookû. Count Dookû is a retired Jedi who believes that the Republic is becoming corrupted from within. He has stolen the plans of the Naboo Peace Moon and seems intent on revealing some dark secret within them to the Galactic Senate. |
Chancellor Palpatine. Chancellor Palpatine is the leader of the Galactic Senate. He is a kindly man, genuinely concerned for the peace of the Galaxy as a whole. He was formerly Senator for Naboo, and as such takes a special interest in the welfare of both the human and Gungan population of the planet. |
General Grievous. General Grievous is the cyborg commander of an army allied with the Trade Federation. |
Dofine. Dofine is Nute Gunray's second in command of the Trade Federation. Gunray has assigned him to pilot General Grievous's ship. |
Mace Windu. Mace Windu is a Jedi Master and one of the members of the Jedi Council. |
Bail Organa. Bail Organa is the Senator for Alderaan in the Galactic Senate. |
Mon Mothma. Mon Mothma is, like, a totally awesome Republic Senator. |
Giddean Danu. Giddean Danu is a Senator in the Galactic Senate. |
