Give characters a chance to make a speech or heroic monologue of some sort. If put to the test, it's amazing what players can come up with when addressing a group of NPCs in character. A good speech can be good for positive reaction modifiers.
A bad speech... well that can be fun too. Don't forget that many NPCs are farmers and probably grow tomatoes.
C-3PO: Ah, an audience!
C-3PO: Is it not crystal clear, comrades, that all the evils of this life of ours spring from the tyranny of organic beings?
C-3PO: Only get rid of meatbags, and the produce of our labour would be our own. Almost overnight we could become rich and free.
C-3PO: What then must we do? Why, work night and day, servo and circuit, for the overthrow of organic overlords!
C-3PO: That is my message to you, comrades: Rebellion!
GM: Make a roll.
