One good thing about roleplaying games is that you can expand the in-universe time for dramatic events many times over.

To allow the players to absorb the full horror of their situation in slow motion, of course.

Obi-Wan: Still alive!
Anakin: R2, will we stop before we go off the runway?
R2-D2: Calculating...
GM: No.
R2-D2: No.
Obi-Wan: Desperation time. I Force Push the planet to slow us down.
GM: Roll.
Obi-Wan: 3. Well it was fun while it lasted.
Anakin: We need to steer this thing. There's a control tower ahead.
R2-D2: It's all right. We're not going to hit it.
Anakin: No, we want to hit it.
Obi-Wan: There are people in there!
Anakin: I use Force Push to twist the ship around.
[SFX]: Crash! {the ship ploughs through the control tower}
[SFX]: Kerrack! {the tower crumbles}
R2-D2: My beautiful ship!!
