Player Characters

Commander John J. Adams played by Jim.

Commander John J. Adams is the commander of United Planets Cruiser C57-D.

Jim is a rather gung-ho roleplayer, interested in action, cool fight scenes, and lucrative spoils over careful consideration or puzzle solving. He frequently acts before he thinks, which includes fixating on his own strange explanations for setting details that the GM hasn't explained yet.

Lietuenant Jerry Farman played by Ben.

Lietuenant Jerry Farman is the second in command of the C57-D.

Ben is a thoughtful roleplayer who tries to think through the best course of action within his character concept and the setting. He enjoys coming up with clever ways to justify the success of his plans within the premises of the setting.

Robby the Robot played by Pete.

Robby the Robot is a robot built by Dr Morbius as a househod servant.

Pete is an old friend of Jim's. Jim invited him along to join in this new game. Pete designed a character to maximise all the skills he thought would come in most useful in a space suspense campaign, at the cost of being Literal Minded, Subserviant, and Unable to Harm Living Beings.

Dr Morbius played by Sally.

Dr Morbius is a scientific recluse living on Altair IV.

Sally is somewhat younger than the other players, but has grown to be an integral part of their gaming group. She has an active imagination and enjoys inventing details about the game setting and characters. Her gaming style is maturing as she grows older.

Altaira played by Annie.

Altaira is a Dr Morbius's daughter.

Annie was interested to come along and see what this "roleplaying games" thing was all about, hearing it was a sort of improvisational acting thing. She is dedicated to playing her character as a real, complex person with motivations inspired by a well-considered backstory.

Lietuenant "Doc" Ostrow played by Corey.

Lietuenant "Doc" Ostrow is the C57-D's medical officer.

Corey is Pete's nephew and was keen to play the "cool roleplaying game" that Pete told him about. The GM invited him to join, but Corey was surprised to find that there were no computers involved. He is new to the world of tabletop RPG gaming.

Non-Player Characters

Engineering Chief Quinn. Engineering Chief Quinn is the chief engineer on board the C57-D. He keeps an eye on the ship and tries to keep everyone out of trouble, which seems to be a very difficult thing to do with so many invisible monsters running around. Cookie. Cookie is the ship's cook on board the C57-D. He uses his great wisdom and popularity to convince Robby to produce 60 gallons of whiskey for him. How exactly he gets away with this is a mystery.

Steve. Steve is a crewman on board the C57-D. Lieutenant Farman thinks he's a loyal crewman but Commander Adams thinks he's derelict in his guard duties. Who is right remains to be seen. Monster from the Id. The Monster from the Id is an uncontrollable invisible monster produced from the subconscious of Dr Morbius. Its main concern is using all the power granted to it by the Phanastacorial Orb of the Lost Civilisation of the Krell.
